Trailing 32-28 at the half, the Cardinals opened the second half on an 11-3 run to take a 39-35 advantage at the 15:40 mark of the second half. The Cardinals never trailed again the rest of the contest.

Junior Preston Knowles scored in double figures for the first time in the last four games, tallying 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor.
Louisville committed just 11 turnovers for the game, which was the second lowest total for the Cardinals this season.
Senior Jerry Smith recorded a personal-high for free throws made when he connected on 12-of-14 from the charity stripe this afternoon in the win over St. John's. He made 11 free throws against St. John's on 2/8/09.
