
Women's Golf Leads BIG EAST Field After Second Round

Tampa, Fla. - After almost an hour delay due to thunder and lightning, play resumed at the 2009 BIG EAST Golf Championship where the Louisville women remained at the top of the leaderboard for the second consecutive day with a two round score of 581. The Cardinals shot a 302 in the second round to hold onto a 12 stroke lead over the field. Notre Dame is in second place with a score of 593 and Cincinnati is third with a score of 614.
Sophomores Sara-Maude Juneau and Laura Anderson are tied with Notre Dame's Lisa Manu for the lead. Juneau shot a team low 72 to move up to first place with a score of 145. Anderson remained in the lead after firing a 78 in the second round for a score of 145.
Senior Cindy LaCrosse shot a 76 in the second round and currently stands in fourth with a score of 146. Daphne Parker shot a 78 in the second round and is currently tied at fifth with a score of 147. Freshman Maria Castellanos shot a 76 in the second round and is currently tied at 8th with a score of 150.
