WALNUT, Calif. - Redshirt freshman Emily Borsare and sophomore Matt Bruce each competed in the open 5,000-meter run at the Mt. SAC Relays held at the Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, California.

Borsare finished 19th out of 27 runners with a BIG EAST qualifying and outdoor personal record time of 17:17.88. The race was Borsare's first of the outdoor season.

Bruce represented the Cardinal men in the 5,000-meter run. Bruce, an Oshawa, Ont. native, finished 21st out of 47 runners with a BIG EAST qualifying time of 14:37.59.

The Cards will return to action on April 23-25 at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa and the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa.
