Despite winning the doubles point and two singles matches, the University of Louisville women's tennis lost match point in a fiercely contested three setter to fall 4-3 at Marshall Saturday afternoon at Huntington, W. Va.

The Cardinals took the double set when the No. 2 pair of Natalia Baez and Bianca Gorbea teamed to defeat Deanna Bailey and Jessica Keener 8-5. The Cardinal duo of Amelia Harris and Sarah Miller slugged it out to a 9-7 win over Thaddea Lock and Catherine Kellner at No. 3.

U of L got its second point when Bianca Gorbea defeated Isabelle Raich 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2. Fellow senior Natalia Baez scored U of L's other point with a 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 win over Jessica Keener at No. 4. Freshman Amelia Harris battled Catherine Kellner in a three-set match that went to the Herd 6-1, 0-6, 6-3.
