
Women's Tennis Falls to Nevada

The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 4-0 to No. 59 ranked Nevada in the final match of the Via Christi Classic at Wichita State Sunday afternoon.
The Cardinals dropped the doubles point with all three positions falling to Nevada. U of L battled back in singles, taking two positions to three sets. At No. 1, Lindsey Jones took Caroline Bailly to three sets before falling 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. Lauren Imre took her first set 6-2 but fell 2-6, 5-7 in the next two for a loss. At No. 3, Jo-Ann Van Aerde had her hands full with Maria Mizyuk, losing 6-0, 6-2.
The other three singles matches were not played due to a lack of indoor court availability after snow and sleet forced the tournament indoors.
