Hnat Earns BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville senior Steven Hnat was named the male BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
"It's a nice capstone to his BIG EAST indoor career," said U of L head coach Ron Mann. "We are pleased for him to have earned that kind of recognition."
At the Hoosier Hills Invitational on Feb. 13, Hnat captured the shot put title with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 58-07.50 (17.87m). Hnat's throw was the best in the BIG EAST this season.
This marks the fourth BIG EAST weekly award for the U of L men's track and field team. Andrew Hackney, Cory Thorne, and Andre Black have all earned previous honors.
The Cards will return to action on Feb. 21-22 at the BIG EAST Championships in New York, N.Y.
