- Junior guard Preston Knowles scored in double figures for the fifth time this season with 11 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the field.
- Sophomore Kyle Kuric recorded a career-best seven rebounds, breaking his old mark of four against Western Kentucky on Saturday. He also tallied a career-high 13 points, which also gave him back-to-back double-digit scoring games. His previous career-high was a 10-point performance in the win Saturday over Western Kentucky.
- Senior Jerry Smith recorded a season-best seven rebounds, besting his previous season-high of five, which he had done three other times this season.
- Sophomore Samardo Samuels scored 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting, putting him in double figures for the 11th straight game to open the season.
- Samuels recorded his third double-double and the fifth of his career tonight with a career-high 29 points and a career-best 15 rebounds in the win over Louisiana-Lafayette. It was his first double-double since recording 23 points and 12 rebounds against Morgan State on 11/22/09. Samuels previous high for points was 24 against South Alabama on 11/23/08 and his previous best for rebounds was 13 against Ole Miss on 12/18/08.
- The Cardinals tied a season-low for turnovers tonight with 10. Louisville had just 10 in the season opener versus Arkansas.
- The Cardinals dominated Louisiana-Lafayette on the board, recording a 48-30 advantage on the glass. The 48 rebounds were the most for the Cardinals this year. Louisville has out-rebounded nine of the 11 opponents this season.
- The Cardinals recorded 18 assists in the win tonight and have averaged 22.0 assists in their last four contests. Senior Edgar Sosa led the Cardinals with five assists.
