
Women's Basketball Travels to New Hampshire

Durham, N.H. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will play at New Hampshire on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 7:00 p.m. It will be the final game for the Cardinals before the Christmas break. The game will be broadcast live on WKRD. Jim Kelch will handle the play-by-play, while Adrienne Johnson will be the color analyst.
Louisville enters the game with a 6-5 overall record and will try to bounce back from two straight losses. The Cardinals are led by a pair of sophomores in Becky Burke and Monique Reid. Burke leads the team in scoring with 16.7 points per game. She leads the team in from behind the arc, connected on 27 for the year. Reid is second on the team in scoring with 14.3 points per game. She also leads the team in rebounding with 7.9 per game.
New Hampshire enters the game with an overall record of 4-5. The Wildcats are 4-1 at home this season. Sophomore forward Denise Beliveau leads three Wildcats in double figures, averaging 13.2 points per game. Beliveau also leads the team on the boards with 7.0 rebounds per game. Senior forward Candace Williams is second on the team in scoring with 12.2 points per game. She is also the second leading rebounder with 6.8 per game. Junior center Jill McDonald rounds out the leading scorers with 11.0 points per game.
Louisville leads the series with the Wildcats 1-0. Last year the Cardinals defeated New Hampshire 82-40 in Freedom Hall.
