- Senior Jerry Smith, junior Preston Knowles and freshman Peyton Siva all returned to action this evening after missing games due to injury. Smith returned back to action after missing one game and recorded five rebounds. Knowles and Siva missed a pair of games for Louisville. Knowles recorded a season-high 15 points and five rebounds in his return to action, while Siva added five points and four assists.
- The Cardinals tied a season-high by forcing 20 turnovers tonight marking the fifth time in eight games that the Cardinals turned the opposition over 16 or more times in a game. Louisville turned East Tennessee State over 20 times earlier this season.
- Sophomore forward Terrence Jennings scored a season-high 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field. His previous high this season was six points against East Tennessee State on 11/21.
- Sophomore Samardo Samuels scored 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting, putting him in double figures for the eight straight game this season.
- The Cardinals recorded nine more steals against Western Carolina and have 19 in the last two games, including a season-best 10 steals against Charlotte last Saturday.
- The Cardinals registered 21 assists on 29 field goals made tonight in the loss to Western Carolina. It marked the sixth time this season that the Cardinals had 14 or more assists in a game.
- Guard Edgar Sosa tied his season-high for assists with seven, tying his seven assist performance against Arkansas on 11/17.
