
Men's Soccer Travels to Villanova for Season Finale

Philadelphia, Penn. - The No. 5/9 Louisville men's soccer team goes on the road to face BIG EAST foe Villanova on Oct. 31 at 1:00 p.m. This will be the regular season finale for the Cardinals, playing for their first BIG EAST regular season championship. The Cardinals tied the school record for wins on Wednesday with a 3-1 victory over the Bearcats.
Louisville enters the match with an overall record of 12-2-2 and a BIG EAST record of 7-2-1. The Cardinals are led by sophomore forward Colin Rolfe, who leads the team in goals scored (9), points (19), and shots (40). Junior forward Mark Knight leads the team in assists with six on the year, along with six goals scored for 18 points on the season. Leading the Cardinals between the posts is sophomore goalkeeper Andre Boudreaux. Boudreaux has a 0.67 goals against average, allowing only 11 goals in 16 games. He has 29 saves on the season with a school-record 11 shutouts.
Villanova enters the game with an overall record of 9-6-2 and a league record of 5-4-1. The Wildcats are led by Mike Seamon, who has five goals with seven assists for 17 points on the year. Kyle Soroka also has five goals for Villanova. In the goal for the Wildcats is Chris Bresnahan with a 1.11 goals against average with 63 saves and four shutouts.
The series between Louisville and Villanova is tied 1-1-2. Last time out, the Wildcats won 3-2 at Cardinal Park. The last time the Cardinals traveled to Pennsylvania, the game ended in a 1-1 tie in double overtime.
