
7th Ranked Cardinals Travel to Georgetown

Washington, D.C. - The 7th ranked Louisville Cardinals will face the Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 4:00 p.m. in the McDonough Arena. The game will be broadcast live on WKRD or at www.uoflsports.com. Jim Kelch will handle play-by-play duties while Adrienne Johnson will be the color analyst.
The Cardinals enter the game ranked 7th in the AP Poll and tied for 11th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll this week. Louisville enters the game with an overall record of 17-1 and 4-0 in league play. Louisville's 17-1 record ties the record for best start in school history. Senior Angel McCoughtry leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 20.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Senior Candyce Bingham is second on the team in scoring and rebounding with 11.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
Georgetown enters the game with an overall record of 12-4 and a league record of 2-1. The Hoyas have a home record of 7-0 this season. Senior guard Karee Houlette leads the team in scoring with 8.5 points per game. Closely behind her is junior guard Shanice Fuller who is averaging 8.3 points per game. Freshman forward Adria Crawford leads the team on the boards, averaging 6.7 rebounds per game.
The Cardinals lead the series 3-0 over the Hoyas.
