- Head coach Rick Pitino coached his 700th career game when he faced Georgetown tonight. Pitino owns a 512-188 record in his 22nd season in collegiate coaching.
- Tonight's crowd of 20,083 is the fourth-largest crowd in Freedom Hall history for the Cardinals.

- Sophomore Jerry Smith connected on 4-of-5 three-point field goals in the game, scoring 16 points. It marked the seventh straight game that Smith has hit two or more trifectas in a game. It also was the third time he hit four or more in a game this season. For the game, Smith went 5-of-6 from the floor and also had three assists.
- Louisville is 3-0 versus top 25 ranked teams this season, after beating sixth-ranked Georgetown tonight. The Cardinals bested No. 13 Marquette on Jan. 17 and No. 16 Marquette on Feb. 4. The last time the Cardinals defeated a team ranked as high as No. 6 was 1/21/04 when U of L beat No. 6 Cincinnati, 93-66, in Freedom Hall.
- The Cardinals limited Georgetown without a field goal from 16:14 of the second half until 8:10, a span of 8:04. Entering the game, the Cardinals had limited the opposition to 60 scoring droughts of three or more minutes.
