"We're going to practice twice on Wednesday, twice on Thursday, and we'll do it twice on Friday if we have to. I'm not concerned about us playing on Saturday, I'm concerned about us getting better. We just played two teams that were picked to finish eighth and ninth in the OVC. They played hard against us and we turned the ball over 26 times at Tennessee Tech and then 30 times tonight. So we have to figure out a way to take care of the basketball. The only way that is gonna happen is with more practice."
(on turnovers) "It is just carelessness, and not doing what we work on in practice. All we've talked about in the past three weeks is you can't take one dribble and pick it up in college. We probably did that at least 10 times tonight. It was one dribble, pick the ball up, get back on our heels and then a turnover. It's just that we are not carrying through what we work on in practice. Until we can take what we do in practice, and carry it over into the games we are going to struggle. We knew we had to find a point guard once Patrika (Barlow) graduated, and Deseree (Byrd) is going take some time, and Tiera (Stephen) is a just a freshman and she gets overwhelmed out there too. Until we can get one of them to step up, it's going to be interesting."
(on Angel McCoughtry playing point) "There is a chance the whole team is going to have to play point. It could come to the point where whoever is not being guarding by someone is going to have to bring the ball up. Then we can throw it to Angel (McCoughtry). That's really what it's going to come down to, just to get the ball in her hands. When she gets it, she's pretty good."

(On Austin Peay's second half run) "It's tough for us because we have so many weaknesses that we have to improve on. We had 30 turnovers. We just have to get better at taking care of the ball. We have Xavier on Saturday and they're going to kick our butts if we don't do better than we did today."
(On Angel taking leadership role) "Candyce (Bingham) and I have been taking on that role. I think the younger playersare going get a rude awakening when we play a tougher team. They'll see what is really about; so I think that comes with a little experience."
(On Coach Walz playing the freshman) "Its good experience for them, it's only their second college game. The more they play the better they will become. They need to get the experience."
(On taking initiative when playing well) "You never play to the level of your competition. Great teams get better whenever, all the time. We have to get better we can't worry about who we're playing, no matter what we have to work on our weaknesses."
(On the consequence for turnovers) "We had 30 turnovers, that's 30 down and backs. We have 11 seconds so, that will be a sight to see. You think we would have done better after 26 in the last game. But now we have more. Hopefully this will wake us up and we will do better."
(On passing Nell Knox all-time scoring record) "That was a wonderful feeling and I told her `thank you' for paving the way for us. She was here at the time when women's basketball was on the rise. I had to thank her for the opportunity she has laid out for us."

(on playing at Louisville) "I love it. I remember when I was a kid in the stands watching them play. But now it makes me really happy to know that I have a Louisville jersey on, and my family can come out and cheer for me."
(on coach's message) "Coach always tells me when I catch the ball don't start dribbling, chin the ball first and then start dribbling, and I was patting the ball and that's how I got a couple of turnovers."
