- The University named the floor of Freedom Hall after legendary head coach Denny Crum in a pre-game ceremony. The playing floor was named " Denny Crum Court."
- The Cardinals didn't commit a turnover in the first half and had only one for the game. Louisville didn't commit its first turnover until 8:45 left in the second half. The Cardinals set a BIG EAST record for fewest turnovers in a game with 1, breaking the old mark of three which was done on three occasions (most recent: by Villanova vs. Georgetown on 2/19/06.)
- U of L entered the game ranked 27th in the nation in field goal percentage defense at 39.8 percent, but allowed the Hoyas to shoot 57.1 percent in the first half and 56.5 percent for the game.
- Freshman Earl Clark tied his career high with 14 points, tallying in double figures for the second straight game. He also scored 14 points in a loss to Villanova on 2/3/07.
- The Hoyas shot 56.5 percent from the floor, which was the highest mark against the Cardinals this season. Northwestern shot 52.6 percent from the field in the season opener on 11/18/06.
- The Cardinals hit double-digit three-point field goals for the fifth time this season and the first since nailing 13 in a win over South Florida on 1/10/06. Louisville was a 11-for-27 from behind the arc in the loss to Georgetown on Wednesday night.
