- With the win over St. John's, the Cardinals have now won at least 20 games in each of the last five years under head coach Rick Pitino, who has won at least 20 games on 14 occasions. The Cardinals have won four straight, eight of their last 10 and 15 of their last 19 contests.
- The Cardinals are now 16-0 this season when leading at the half and 13-0 when it scores 70 or more points. Louisville is also 107-18 when holding the opposition to less than 70 points, including 18-3 this season.
- The Cardinals held the Red Storm to 26.3 shooting from the field, marking the 12th time this season Louisville held the opposition to less than 40.0 percent shooting from the field. It marked the first time since 3/22/06 against Missouri State that Louisville held an opponent to less than 30 percent shooting from the floor.
- Freshman Derrick Caracter scored in double figures for the third time in the last four games and the fourth time this season. Caracter tallied 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor.
- After being held scoreless for the first time last season in the win over Marquette, sophomore Terrance Williams responded with a team-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. It's team-leading 17th time that Williams has scored in double-figures.
- The Cardinals have blocked as many as seven shots in seven games this season, including four of the last seven.
- Junior Juan Palacios sat out tonight's game with back spasms. Senior Perrin Johnson made his second straight of the season (also started against UNC-Asheville).
