Volleyball Breaks Into National Rankings

The University of Louisville volleyball team broke into the Top 25 rankings in this week's CSTV/AVCA Coaches Poll for week No. 9.
The Cardinals are currently riding a 12-match winning streak, are the last undefeated BIG EAST team at 9-0 and post a 15-4 record overall. The Cardinals are the No. 1 ranked team in blocking and have the nation's best blocker in Lecia Brown, who averages 2.22 blocks per game.
"We are happy that our challenging early schedule and hard work is paying off now as we come down to the final stretch of our regular season," said Yelin. "It is always satisfying for your team to get recognition for their work."
U of L is idle until this Sunday when it travels to Piscataway, N.J. to face Rutgers.
