- After committing an average of 9.5 turnovers over its last four games, the Cardinals had ten in the first half. Louisville committed just one turnover in the whole second half and finished with 11 for the game.
- The 38 first half points were the most since the Cardinals had 38 in the first half against Miami on 12/23/06 at Freedom Hall.
- Freshman Edgar Sosa had four steals, the third time in the last five games he has had three or more steals in a game.
- The Cardinals made eight 3-point field goals and are 11-0 when hitting more than seven trifectas in a game.
- Freshman Earl Clark tied his career-high for rebounds with six. He also recorded on two other occasions (most recent was against North Carolina-Asheville on 12/30/06.

- The Cardinals held the Orange without a field goal for 9:39 in the second half. Syracuse scored at 9:45 of the second half and didn't hit another one until the final six seconds.
