The University of Louisville women's tennis team will travel to Waco, Texas this weekend for the highly competitive Baylor Fall Invitational.
Four Cardinals will face opponents from Oklahoma, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Rice and Baylor among many others in the three day flighted tournament.
"We are looking forward to the challenge this tournament will present this weekend," said U of L head coach Greg Davis. "Teams like TCU and Baylor are some of the top teams in the country. It will give us a good barometer of how we match up right now against the elite players in the country."
Natalie Laszkowski, Bianca Gorbea, Natalia Baez and Jo-Ann Van Aerde will head to Texas for the Cardinals.
The Cards were ranked No. 74 in the final 2006 Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) year end poll. U of L is coming off a 23-7 season for their fourth straight 20+ win season under fourth year coach Greg Davis. U of L also made its first ever Top 50 appearance in the poll in 2006. The Cardinals return all six of their top players for the 2006-07 season.
