
Women's Tennis Beats Eastern Kentucky 5-0

Louisville (20-6) and Eastern Kentucky played an abbreviated 4-1 format in the evening inside the Greg Adams Tennis Center. The 70th-ranked Cardinals won all four singles matches in straight sets.
Under the format, U of L played one doubles match, an 8-1 win for Natalie Laszkowski and Natalia Baez. The Cardinals had equally good luck in singles. At No. 1, Maria Klokotsky beat Meredith Giles 6-3, 6-3 and Robyn White won at No. 2 against Lucia Vojtkova with a score of 6-3, 6-2. Bianca Gorbea handled Jemma Euers 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3. Suzanna Gracanin notched her 25th win in dual matches with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Terin Roof at No. 4. Gracanin is now 25-1.
"We played a great match today, Eastern Kentucky has a great shot at winning the OVC and we were able to come out and win all four first sets to gain some momentum," said U of L head coach Greg Davis, who now notches his fourth straight 20-win season in four years at the Cardinal helm.
The Cardinals have their final dual match of the regular season against BIG EAST foe Marquette April 15 at the Bass Rudd Tennis Center.
