The University of Louisville women's tennis team moved to No. 70 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Poll as they come down the home stretch of their season.
The Cardinals, 19-6, added a match against Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 in Richmond, Ky. From there, the Cardinals return home for U of L's match with Marquette on Saturday, April 15 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
"One of our goalsis to finish strong for a high seed in the BIG EAST Conference Championship," said U of L head coach Greg Davis. "We are extremely happy to move up. Eastern Kentucky has a chance to win its conference for the NCAA bid and Marquette is a difficult team to play year in and year out. If we finish strongly it will help our seedings when they come out on Monday."
