
Women's Tennis Beats Wright State

The University of Louisville women's tennis team beat Wright State 4-2 in the second match of the day for the Cardinals. The No. 68 ranked Cardinals improved their record to 15-5.
"It was good to get a win over Wright State," said U of L head coach Greg Davis. "The match at Indiana took a lot of us and that showed a lot that we came back and won the match in the evening."
U of L swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Maria Klokotzky and Robyn White won 8-5 at No.1. Freshmen Bianca Gorbea and Natalia Baez easily rolled at No. 2 with a 8-1 win over Jessica Lee and Megan Laux. Natalie Laszkowski and Suzanna Gracanin won 8-2 at No. 3.
In singles, Gorbea beat Jessica Lee 6-4, 6-2 at No .2 to clinch the match. Gracanin added another Cardinal point with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3. Stephania Velazquez won easily over Christa Ames at No. 5 6-1, 6-1.
