- Louisville played its first overtime game of the season. The Cards' are 4-4 all-time in overtime under head coach Rick Pitino. It's the first overtime game since a 93-85 win over West Virginia in the NCAA Tournament last season.
- The Cardinals scored 89 points, which were the most points in the last 12 games.
- The Cardinals had five players score in double figures for the second straight game and the third time this season.
- The Cardinals scored 44 first half points, marking the second time in the last 14 games that the Cardinals scored 40 or more points in the first half. Louisville scored 43 against UC-Davis on 1/9/06.
- Freshman Andre McGee reached a career-high for 3-point field goals made in a game, hitting 4-of-7 attempts. His previous best was three in a win over the College of Charleston on 12/21/05. McGee's 14 points was also a new career-high, besting the 13 he scored against St. John's on 1/17/06.
- Senior Taquan Dean buried six 3-point field goals in the win over Notre Dame, marking the seventh time this season that Dean connected on four or more 3-point field goals in a game. U of L is 6-1 in those games. He moved into 23rd place in school history with 1,416 points.
- The Cardinals connected on 13-of-28 3-point field goals against Notre Dame, marking the 10th time this season and the third time in the last four games that Louisville hit double-digit 3-point field goals. The 13 trifectas were a season-high for the Cardinals.
- Sophomore Terrance Farley reached a new career-high with three blocked shots and also set a new career-high with six rebounds.
- The Cardinals allowed 17 3-point field goals, which was the highest total for an opponent against U of L this season. The 17 3-point field goals tied a Notre Dame school record.
- Sophomore David Padgett scored 24 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field and 10-of-12 from the free throw line. It marked the second time this season that Padgett scored 20 or more points in a game.
- The Cardinals are 83-3 over the last seven years when scoring 80 or more points in a game, , including 59-3 under Pitino.
- Junior Brandon Jenkins recorded a career-best nine rebounds against Notre Dame, besting his old mark of eight against TCU on 1/8/05.
