- The win over South Florida was the 1,500th all-time for the Cardinals in school history. U of L is 1,500-801 in its 90th season of intercollegiate basketball.
- Sophomore center David Padgett left the game with 16:47 remaining in second half after striking his head on the floor. He suffered a concussion and was taken to Jewish Hospital for precautionary measures.
- Senior Taquan Dean buried four three-point field goals to give him 320 for his career. He needs just three more to tie DeJuan Wheat's (1993-97) school record for three-point field goals in a career with 323. Dean hit four or more three-point field goals for the ninth time this season. Dean has hit 26-of-53 (49.1) three-point field goals over the last six games.
- With 21 points, Dean also moved into the Top 20 in school history for points in a career with 1,453. He moved into a tie for 19th place with Allen Murphy (1972-75).
- Sophomore Terrance Farley reached a new career-high with seven points, besting his previous high of five points against Tulane on 1/29/05.
- Louisville, who buried 36 three-point field goals over the last three games, was held to just 6-of-16 shooting from behind the arc. The six trifectas were the lowest since the Cardinals nailed six against Rutgers on 1/28/06.
- Junior guard Brandon Jenkins matched a career-high for steals in a game with four. It's the fourth time in his career that the junior had four steals in a game.
