- Louisville held Savannah State to just 18 first-half points, the fewest total the Cardinals have allowed this season in a half. The previous low was 25 points against Sacramento State on December 2.
- Freshman Edgar Sosa scored 12 points, the sixth time this season the guard scored in double figures this year. It was the most points he scored since tallying 14 in a win over St. Joseph's.
- The Cardinals had a season-best 14 steals, the most since totaling 11 against Sacramento State on December 2.
- Junior Juan Palacios scored a season-high 20 points, the most since tallying 16 against Sacramento State on December 2 and Bellarmine on December 10. He went 5-of-10 from the field and 10-of-12 from the free throw line. He also added eight boards, the fifth time in 10 games that he's had eight or more rebounds in a game.
- The Cardinals forced 25 turnovers, which was the most since netting 25 against Cincinnati on 1/25/06.
- The Cardinals held Savannah State to 45 points, which was the first time Louisville held an opponent to less than 50 since holding Miami to 43 on 12/31/05.
