
Brohm Named BIG EAST Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - - University of Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week. In addition, USF defensive end George Selvie received Defensive Player of the Week accolades, and Cincinnati kicker Kevin Lovell earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Brohm earns BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors for the seventh time in his career. In Louisville's 48-24 win at Pittsburgh on Nov. 25, the Cardinal junior completed 21-of-29 passes for 337 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. It was the fourth time this season in which he has surpassed the 300-yard mark. Brohm leads the league in passing yards per game (266.3).
The Cardinals host Connecticut on Saturday in a noon kickoff on ESPN.
