- Louisville has now won three straight meetings against the Bearcats and seven of the last 11.
- The Cardinals opened the game by hitting their first five shots, including their first three three-point field goals.
- The Cardinals scored half of its first half points (18 of 36) off turnovers in building its third largest halftime lead of the season.
- Freshman Andre McGee matched a career-high of six assists for the second straight game. He had six in the loss to Connecticut on Saturday.
- Taquan Dean returned to action after missing two games with a sprained ankle. The senior scored 16 points and handed out two assists. Dean hit 4-of-10 from the field and four three-pointers, including three in a row during a run in the second half.
- Dean moved into 24th place all-time on the school's all-time scoring list with 1, 357 points, passing John Reuther, Junior Bridgeman and Ricky Gallon.
- Dean hit four three-point field goals, which marked the ninth time this season that he has buried three or more three-pointers in a game.
- After hitting 2-of-20 from behind the arc in a loss to Connecticut, the Cardinals rebounded with a 10-of-26 performance in the win over Cincinnati. It marked the eighth time this season that the Cardinals hit double-digit three-point field goals.
- Louisville forced a season-high 25 turnovers, which led to 34 points.
- Sophomore Juan Palacios recorded his eight career double-double and the second this season with 19 points and 12 rebounds. He also hit a career-best eight free throws. His 12 rebounds were a season-high and his 19 points also tied a season-best, which he accomplished against Prairie View on 12/3/05.
- The Cardinals were out-rebounded, 44-39, marking the sixth straight league game which the Cardinals lost the battle on the boards.
