- Sophomore David Padgett reached a new career-high with 27 points and also totaled eight rebounds. He also established a new career-high with 11 field goals made and 18 attempted. His previous-best was an 18-point performance against Middle Tennesse State on 12/20/05/.
- The Cardinals missed 16 straight three-point field before freshman Bryan Harvey nailed one with 5:01 to play in the second half. The two three-point field goals the lowest since the Cardinals hit two in a 74-71 win over Cincinnati on 2/27/02.
- Senior Taquan Dean missed his second straight game with a sprained ankle.
- The Cardinals dropped their third consecutive BIG EAST Conference game at home, marking the first time since the 1984-85 season that Louisville dropped three straight league games at home. Louisville dropped games to Memphis State, Virginia Tech and Cincinnati as member of the Metro Conference.
- Freshman Andre McGee had six assists and one turnover in the loss, giving him 24 assists and just seven turnovers over the last nine games.
- Louisville shot just 36.4 percent from the field, marking the third straight game that the Cardinals failed to hit better than 40.0 percent of their field goal attempts.
