
Men's Soccer Hosts Alumni on Saturday at Cardinal Park

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team will host former alumni at 5 p.m. in Cardinal Park for a final tune up before the season-opener at Kentucky on Sept. 2. The Cards will play two thirty minute matches against the alumni. Louisville has compiled a 2-0 exhibition record.
The Cardinals will play its most challenging schedule in school history as the begin play in the BIG EAST Conference this season. Five opponents on the Louisville schedule are ranked in the preseason Top 25 poll.
Newcomer Frank Jonke leads the Cardinals in scoring with three goals in the two exhibition games. The Cardinal defense led by senior Tim Velten has allowed only one goal.
