- U of L raised its record to 36-3 in December under head coach Rick Pitino.
- After winning the Billy Minardi Classic, Louisville has won 21 championships in regular season tournaments.
- Louisville won all the Billy Minardi Classic for the fourth straight season, which began in 2002 to honor the memory of Billy Minardi, the brother-in-law of U of L coach Rick Pitino, who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
- Louisville guard Brandon Jenkins (unanimous selection) was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player, while Adam Voglesberg of Middle Tennessee, David Padgett and Terrance Williams of Louisville, Josh Jackson and Dontaye Draper of College of Charleston were named to the All-Tournament Team. Jenkins averaged 16.5 ppg and had nine assists and two tournovers in a pair of tournament games.
- Freshman Brian Johnson tied his career-high with eight points on 3-of-4 shooting from the floor. He also scored eight points in wins over Tennessee-Martin on 11/19/05 and Akron on 12/10/05.
- Freshman Terrance Williams reached a new career-high with 16 points by nailing a career-best 4-of-6 three pointers. His previous high was a 13-point performance against Akron on 12/5/05.
- Freshman guard Andre McGee reached his new career-high with 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from behind the arc. His previous high was an eight points versus Prairie View on 12/3/05. McGee also nailed a career-best three trifectas.
- U of L raised is 78-10 when holding its opponent below 70 points over the last five years under Pitino.
- The Cardinals tied a season-high for 3-point field goals with 12 by hitting 12-of-27. U of L also hit 12 in a win over Akron on 12/5/05.
