Women's tennis freshman Natalia Baez swept all four matches to take the Flight D Singles title at the Kentucky Fall Classic.
It is the third title in two tournaments won by the Cardinals this fall. U of L won singles and doubles flights in the Michigan State Spartan Cup the weekend before.
"Natalia had a great tournament and what makes it all the more impressive is that she won her flight without dropping a single set," said U of L head coach Greg Davis. "Natalia gave a great effort over the weekend."
Baez beat the University of Denver's Lorinda Boothman int he finals 6-4, 6-2 for the win. Enroute to her title, she also beat Illinois' Pavlina Akritas and Kaja Smole of Denver.
U of L will travel to the Northwestern Invitational this weekend in Evanston, Ill. as fall action continues.
