With the win over Tennessee, the Cardinals have won 11 of the last 12 meetings between these two schools, including the last four.

Playing only six minutes in the first half and contributing no points or rebounds, senior Otis George was instrumental in the Cardinals big run, scoring nine points and grabbing four rebounds in the second half.

Senior Francisco Garcia, who led the Cards with 20 points, scored 20 or more points for the sixth time in the last nine games. Garcia tallied 12 points in the second half, connecting on 5-of-7 shots from the field.
