Women's Tennis Falls to Central Florida 6-1

The visiting University of Louisville women's tennis team fell to the University of Central Florida 6-1 win Saturday afternoon at the UCF Tennis Complex in Orlando. The Cardinals stand at 17-8 on the season.
U of L started off strong, winning the No. 2 doubles match when Julia Hierl and Michele Spiess rolled 8-2 over Anna Westin and Julie Pecastaing. But UCF rallied to win the doubles point of the match. Kristina Lohmos and Anna Westin defeated Natalie Lazskowski and Kelly Taylor of Louisville, 8-2 at the No.2 position. UCF's Pamela Fernandez and Megan Hunter beat Paige Eber and Christina Gogol at the No.3 spot, 8-5.
In singles play UCF took victories in five of six matches. The lone Cardinal to pick up a win for Louisville was Lazskowski at the No.5 position, beating Ola Luczak, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Pecastaing overpowered Michele Speiss at the No.1 position, 6-2, 6-2. Hunter was victorious at the No.6 spot, outlasting Gogol 6-7, 6-3 (10-5).
