BATON ROUGE, La. - The University of Louisville women's golf team finished ninth at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic over the weekend at The University Club in Baton Rouge, La.

The Cardinals finished the three-day tournament at 315-317-306=938 (+78) for the ninth-place effort. North Carolina shot a tournament-low 292 in Sunday's final round to come from behind and win the 17-team event with a 903 (+39). Tulane was second at 906 and host LSU was third (913).

North Carolina's Ashley Prange won medalist honors after firing a 1-under par 215 (73-71-71). Freshman Katie Tewell tied for 19th to lead the Cardinals after shooting 230 (77-77-76). Junior Meghan Little placed 25th with a 233 (75-82-76), while senior Ali Wright tied for 30th at 236 (72-79-75).

Sophomore Elly Leonard finished 44th (239) and freshman Amy Yeates was 90th (269) to round out the Cardinal golfers.
