Women's Tennis Falls to Middle Tennessee

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell to Middle Tennessee women's tennis 6-1 Saturday at Buck Bouldin Tennis Center. MTSU improves to 8-3 and Louisville falls to 13-6.
The Cardinals opened the match by dropping the doubles point with losses at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. No. 22 ranked Manon Kruse and Carien Venter defeated Kelly Taylor and Natalie Laszkowski 8-3 and Jennifer Klaschka and Laura McNamara won over Julia Hierl and Michele Spiess by the same score.
Middle Tennessee won all but one singles match. Junior Emily Vest fell at No. 6 to Laszkowski 6-4, 6-3. Two matches went to three sets but the Lady Raiders came out on top. Venter defeated Taylor 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 and McNamra finished up the match with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-0 win over Paige Eber.
