Women's Tennis Grounds Flyers

The University of Louisville women's tennis team used best singles performance all year and grounded the Flyers of Dayton 7-0 Saturday at Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Cardinals won the doubles point when Julia Hierl and Michele Spiess combined to win at No. 2 8-2 over Kate Donavon and Kara Metzger. Paige Eber and Christina Gogol clinched U of L's point with an 8-2 win over Sarah Niller and Kate Mellion at No. 3.
U of L swept the singles for the remaining six points.
"The match was our best in singles we've had the whole season," said Greg Davis, U of L head coach "We feel our best obstacle is our doubles play, if we can keep improving in doubles it will be a big boost to our season."
