- Francisco Garcia has scored 713 career points.
- Memphis committed more turnovers in the first half (15) than they were averaging on the season entering the game (12.5). The Tigers finished with 21, a new season high.
- The Cardinals lead the series 49-33.
- Louisville has now ended four winning streaks of note for the Tigers. In 1972-73 they stopped a 14-game streak. Last year the Cards snapped Memphis' 12-game run. In 1983-84 the Cardinals snipped a 12 game string of wins for the Tigers. Today's win snaps an 11-game run.
