Defending national champion USC, No. 1-seeded Nebraska, No. 11-ranked San Diego and No. 15-ranked University of Louisville make up a stellar field for the NCAA Regional hosted by Louisville Dec. 10 and 11 at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
The Cardinals equalled their best national ranking ever today as they moved up to No. 15. They are on their longest winning streak ever at 22 straight matches.
"Yes, we have a very tough opponent in No. 1 seeded Nebraska, but that is where I hope the home court advantage can help. We have the No. 1 fans in the nation, and if enough of them come to the match it will help us gain an advantage. I can't stress enough how much our crowd can help us," said U of L coach Leonid Yelin. "We have a volleyball crazy town here in Louisville and I think they will see the finest volleyball in the country."
