
Cards Notch 11th Shutout, Tying Charlotte Friday

LOUISVILLE, KY - The University of Louisville women's soccer team battled Charlotte to a scoreless tie on Friday night in Cardinal Park, extending the team record to 11 shutouts on the season.
The Cards(11-3-2, 5-1-2) who have allowed just two goals in eight conference games this season, outshot the 49ers 19-5 on the evening.
Charlotte(3-11-2, 3-3-2) had only two shots on goal to the Cardinals' six, with Louisville's Meredith Miller making two saves and Charlotte's Shannon Huffman notching six.
For Miller, it was her eighth shutout of the season and 16th on her Cardinal career, both school records.
Sophomore Jamie Craft lead the Cards with six shots followed by freshman Monique Gjini who had four.
The Cardinals are currently in second place in C-USA with two games remaining, behind Saint Louis who has clinched at least a tie for the league title.
Louisville will host East Carolina on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Cardinal Park in a match that will be televised on a tape-delayed basis on INSIGHT-2.
