The loss to Marquette snapped the Cardinals' 16-time winning streak at Freedom Hall. It was Louisville's first loss at home since a 78-73 loss to Marquette on 2/27/03.
The Cardinals trailed at the half for just the fourth time all season (Marquette, Kentucky, Murray State and Tennessee), 30-27. It was the first time the Cardinals failed to comeback after trailing at the break all season.
Marquette also snapped Louisville's 16-game winning streak, which was tied for the fourth-longest streak in school history (1982-83 team), and it was also tied for the third longest with Cincinnati (1999-00) in the history of Conference USA.
