
Women's Golf Takes Second at the Cardinal Cup

The University of Louisville women's golf team finished second in the Louisville Cardinal Cup on Sunday at the Cardinal Club. East Carolina blew the competition away shooting a 305 in the final round to win the title with a score of 926. The Cardinals finished with a score of 943, shooting a 317 in the final round to move up to second. Murray State fell to third shooting a 323 in the final round for a score of 945.
Junior Meghan Little held on to the lead, shooting a low round of 72 for medalist honors with a score of 219. East Carolina's Adrienne Millican finished second with a score of 224 and Georgia State's Lisbeth Meincke finished third with a score of 225.
Louisville freshman Katie Tewell shot a 75 in the final round to finish fourth with a score of 227. Senior Ali Wright finished tied for 33rd with a score of 249. Freshman Amy Yeates finished 39th with a score of 251.
Redshirt freshman Jaime Bentley finished tied for 48th with a score of 259. Competing as an individual, freshman Cristina Gonzalez finished tied for 40th with a score of 252.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Oct. 3-4 at the Wildcat Fall Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
