
Faber Places Fifth in Heptathlon at FSU Relays

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - University of Louisville junior Kelly Faber placed fifth in the heptathlon at the FSU Relays Thursday in Tallahassee, Fla.
Faber finished with a career-best total of 4,595 points, eclipsing her previous best mark by nearly 200 points. South Florida's Alexis McGaffagan won the event with 5,088 points.
During the two-day competition, Faber recorded personal-best marks in three of the seven events, including the high jump (5-5.25), shot put (34-5.75) and javelin (97-4).
The Cardinals return to action as a full team March 27 at the Florida Relays in Gainesville.
