The University of Louisville women's tennis team improved their record to 12-5, doubling their wins from a year ago, with a 7-0 sweep of Wright State at Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Cardinals swept in straight sets and allowed Wright State 11 games total in singles. Marie Louise Frolich Hansen notched her second win of the weekend with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Kara Dunbar. She paired with Kelly Taylor to win doubles 8-4.
"This was one of our best performances of the year," said first year head coach Greg Davis. "The key to our match was a great start in the doubles, we really cmae out with a great deal of intensity."
Taylor got a win on her own with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Marie Crush. The doubles pair of Melisa San Martin and Julie Penn dominated Kyanna Jackson and Kara Dunbar 8-1. Paige Eber and Jasmin Singh rolled 8-3 over Jenny Bagby and Laura Culbertson. Eber shut out Bagby, her singles opponent 6-0, 6-0.
"We have four very tough matches coming up in Florida and this was a great win to give us some momentum for the Stetson match," said Davis.
