Women's Tennis Bumps Off Belmont

The University of Louisville women's tennis team won the doubles point and all but one singles match in the first half of the doubleheader at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
Kelly Taylor was bumped up to No. 1 singles and won easily over Alba Garcia 6-0, 6-2. She paired with Marie Louise Frolich-Hansen to win No. 1 doubles aver Garcia and Shirani Oberio 8-4.
"Kelly Taylor played a terrific match at No. 1. I am so pleased with her progress she is getting better each week," said Greg Davis, U of L head coach.
Melisa San Martin and Jasmin Singh won at No. 2 and 4 respectively. Paige Eber and Mariana Torres mowed down their opponents to win No. 5 and No. 6. Eber and Singh won over Starr Steffner and Lauren DeHaan.
Paige Eber played very sell in singles and doubles." said Davis. "Paige is playing with more confidence each match and her extra work and preparation is really paying off."
The Cardinals moved to 6-1 in the dual season.
