INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Senior Cindy Roberson won the pole vault and freshman Emily Kost had a pair of top-four finishes to lead the University of Louisville women's indoor track and field team at the Smith Barney Invitational over the weekend in Indianapolis.

Roberson tied an indoor personal-best with a height of 11-5.75 to win her second individual title of the season. Sophomore Jacey Hughes placed third in the event with a height of 10-11.75.

Kost finished second in the weight throw and fourth in the shot put with her best marks in both events this year. The New Albany, Ind., native eclipsed her previous season best mark in the weight throw by nearly five feet with a throw of 48-2.75. She improved her shot put mark by more than a foot with a toss of 38-6.75.

Seniors Brittany Hedgepeth (18-2.50) and Lissette Shannon (17-7.25) placed fifth and seventh, respectively, in the long jump, while senior Alanna Mestelle was sixth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.85 to round out the Cardinals' top-10 performers.

The Cardinals return to action Friday when they travel to Bloomington for the Indiana Invitational.
