Women's Tennis Upends IUPUI

The University of Louisville women's tennis team continued its winning ways with a 7-0 win over IUPUI in Indianapolis Saturday. U of L swept the singles matches and won the doubles point to move their record to 3-1.
Kelly Taylor moved to No. 1 singles and easily handled Mallory Stemle 6-3,6-1. She paired with Marie Louise Frolich-Hansen to win No. 1 doubles over Brookley Crews and Natalie Bednar 9-7 in a closely contested match. Jasmin Singh and Paige Eber took No. 3 doubles to win the point.
In singles, U of L shook up its lineup and still took every slot from IUPUI. At No. 5 and No. 6, Casie Skaggs and Mariana Torres stepped in and won their matches respectively. Melisa San Martin moved up to the No. 2 spot and beat Crews 6-2, 6-1. Singh had a bit of trouble with Bednar in the first set, winning 7-6 but took the second easily at 6-2. Eber won her match over Michelle Cunningham 6-2, 6-4.
