
Women's Golf Finishes 7th at Lady Kat Invitational

Lexington, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's golf team finished 7th after just two rounds of play in the Lady Kat Invitational. The tournament was suspended after two rounds of play due to the weather on Saturday and Sunday. The University of Tennessee won the invitational with a score of 604. South Florida finished second with a 612 and Mississippi State and UK Blue finished third with a score of 612. After all the rain delays yesterday, the Cardinals shot a second round of 316, combining with a 307 from the first round for a tourament total of 623.
Senior Cindy Pasechnik put in the best performance for Louisville, finishing 10th with a score of 151. Sophomore Morgan Hapney and junior Alison Wright finished tied for 25th with a score of 157. Freshman Elly Leonard finished 43rd in her first collegiate tournament with a score of 161.
Sophomore Meghan Little and senior Jessica Kell finished tied at 47th with a score of 162. Kell competed as an individual. Other Cardinals competitng as individuals were Candace Pasechnik and Erin Bell. Pasechnik finished with a score of 168 and Bell finished with a score of 177.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Sept. 23-24 as the host the Cardinal Collegiate Cup at the Cardinal Club.
