Louisville, Ky. - University of Louisville women's basketball head coach Martin Clapp announced on Tuesday the addition of Roscelle Bullock to the Cardinal coaching staff. Bullock played for Coach Clapp from 1997-99.
Bullock comes to Louisville after serving as an assistant coach last season at James Madison under former Louisville head coach Bud Childers. She will be involved with all aspects of the Louisville program.
"It's nice to have someone on the staff that is familiar with the program," said head coach Martin Clapp. "I have been looking to hire a former player and she kept in touch with Sara and that is one of the reasons she wanted to come back. She makes a nice addition to our staff."
Prior to James Madison, Bullock worked as an intern in the Conference USA media relations office from 2000-01.
During her playing career at Louisville, Bullock was named Conference USA Sixth Player of the Year in 1998. She averaged 10.6 points and 6.0 rebounds her junior season. She averaged 12.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game her senior year before ending her career with a torn ACL midway through the season.
Bullock transferred to Louisville after spending two seasons at Auburn. She averaged 3.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in her two seasons with the Tigers.
Bullock is a native of Johnson City, Tenn. and lettered for four seasons at Science Hill High School.
