
Women's Tennis Loses to Arkansas State

JONESBORO, Ark. -- The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell to Arkansas State 5-2 at Ridgepoint Country Club.
The Cardinals notched wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles but it wasn't enough to turn the corner. No. 5 singles player Paige Eber beat Julia Searle 7-5, 6-3 and lone freshman Kelly Taylor battled back to a three set win at No. 6.
ASU won all three doubles matches and won the top four singles for the win. Taylor, paired with Mariana Torres put up a fight at No. 3 doubles but fell 8-5.
The Cardinals play Memphis Sunday at 10 a.m.
