
Women's Basketball Falls on Road to Evansville 60-58

Evansville, Ind. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team fell to Evansville 60-58 Sunday afternoon in Roberts Stadium. The Cardinals were led in scoring by freshman Connie Neal with 15 points. The Purple Aces had three players in double figures with Jamie Gray leading the way with 16 points.
The Cards led the whole game until the 3:20 mark in the second half, Gray made a layup to put the Aces up 55-54. The Aces built the lead up to five with just 1:46 remaining but the Cardinals cut it to one with a layup from Kim Graham and two free throws from Nord.
With 10 seconds remaining in the game the Cards had a chance to tie it up but Carol Brown lost the ball as time expired.
The Cardinals shot 36.4 percent from the field while the Aces shot 40 percent. The Cards outrebounded Evansville 39-38.
The Cardinals will be in action again on Friday, Nov. 29 at Florida Atlantic at 7:00 p.m.
