CINCINNATI, Ohio - The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell to Conference USA rival Cincinnati 7-0 Thursday at Cincinnati.

The Bearcats (10-9) took the doubles point as the team of Kara and Lyndsey Molony defeated Katie McLaughlin and Kelly Whitler 8-3 at the top seed. Khush Italia and Lisa Pruett 8-4 at the two-spot. Louisville's Paige Eber and Mariana Torres picked up the Cards' only win by edging Jen Capuzzi and Katie Kerr 9-8 at No. 3

In singles action, Kara Molony, ranked No. 50 in the nation, defeated McLaughlin 6-2, 6-0 at the top seed. Capuzzi defated Penn 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2. Louisville's Whitler took Italia to three sets before falling 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3. At the four-spot, Lyndsey Molony won over San Martin 6-2, 6-4, and Kerr defeatd Torres 6-2, 7-6 at No. 6

U of L (5-16) will play host to Xavier and Western Kentucky in a doubleheader on April 10 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Match times are scheduled to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. respectively.
